SCHOOL SHOWS and WORKSHOPS

For the past 4 years Bounce and Karen Grant-Margil have received
a Special Project Grant from the Florida Keys Council of the Arts
to teach Juggling and Balancing as part of the Physical Education Program.

This grant has enabled us to go into almost every PE class in Monroe County
to demonstrate and introduce Students and Staff to Juggling and Balancing,
and then have a Hands On Workshop.

Bounce and Ooo LaLa @KLS

At every workshop Bounce and Karen demonstrate ball juggling, ring juggling and passing,
club juggling and passing and then they pass clubs on a unicycle and rola bola.
The demonstration shows where you can progress to once you learn 3 ball juggling.

A JUGGLER

Everyone is introduced to our techniques for teaching 3 ball Juggling, and even if they did not have enough time to learn themselves, they listened, observed and understood the focusing and concentrating that is needed to learn 1 ball, 2 ball and then 3 ball Juggling.

Our system that breaks down Juggling to its most basic level
so that everyone can become a teacher of juggling.

A JUGGLER

Learning to Juggle is a exciting process of Discovery. It is learning what you are doing right and what you need to do to correct your mistakes.
Juggling is all about control.
You must control your throws, and control where your eyes look and
where you will catch the ball.
You are always problem solving learning this juggling challenge or in learning new tricks.

A JUGGLER

Success in every sport depends on good hand eye coordination. There is no better physical and mental activity that will prepare students to be better athletes than learning to Juggle.

When we visit schools, we are always amazed how few PE Teachers know how to Juggle,
and of those that do, very few have the confidence or "know how" to teach juggling.

We see far too many children (even in the upper Elementary grades) that are totally uncoordinated in their throwing and catching ability...even with ONE ball.

As a result they dislike PE classes and may forever dislike sport. Juggling can help change their coordination ability and confidence. Juggling is non competitive.

We always start our classes teaching with one ball and then we progress to two, then three.
For the younger kids we also give them the opportunity to work with scarves.

scarves

Learning to TRACK and follow the paths of thrown objects is essential to Juggling.
Scarves slow this down.

A JUGGLER

Juggling is as essential as teaching any other activity in Elementary school PE.
Our job is to teach Juggling to Your kids and to teach your PE staff how to teach Juggling.
The kids love it because everyone is involved and everyone progresses on their own level.

A JUGGLER

For our Juggling and Balancing Workshop we bring a sound system with wireless mikes
and 400 Juggling Balls, enough for 125 children. We bring Scarves and Rings.
We also bring 50 Juggling clubs that we use in our Balancing workshop.

balancing

Balancing is all about focusing and concentrating on the object.
Kids enjoy this activity and gain self confidence because they can learn to Balance quickly.
